As a Kitchen Porter Manager (Chief Steward), your day-to-day will be driven by our Guests needs, however you can expect to cover the following duties and responsibilities (not all encompassing) …


* Lead, train and supervise the Kitchen Porter team to ensure smooth daily operations


* Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene across all kitchen and back-of-house areas


* Manage pot wash, dishwashing and waste disposal processes efficiently


* Ensure compliance with all health, safety and food hygiene regulations (e.g.

HACCP)


* Control stock levels of cleaning chemicals, equipment and disposables


* Coordinate with chefs and front-of-house teams to support service delivery


* Oversee equipment handling, reporting faults and arranging repairs with the Maintenance team where needed


* Manage staff rotas, attendance and performance within the stewarding team


* Drive continuous improvement in cleanliness standards and operational efficiency

* Proven experience in a similar Chief Steward or Kitchen Porter Supervisor role


* Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team


* Excellent attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness


* Good understanding of health & safety and food hygiene regulations


* Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment


* Strong organisational and time management skills


* A proactive, hands-on approach with a positive attitude


* Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively


* Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays
