Consultant, Environmental Scientist (Wetland Delineator)

ERM is seeking a motivated and experienced Consultant, Environmental Scientist (Wetland Delineator) to join our Capital Project Development team in Houston, Texas.

This role is designed for a professional who has progressed beyond entry-level fieldwork and is ready to apply deep technical expertise to complex environmental challenges.

You’ll work alongside multidisciplinary experts to deliver defensible science, support large-scale infrastructure and development projects, and help clients navigate permitting requirements while protecting critical wetland and water resources—advancing ERM’s mission as a global sustainability leader.

What You’ll Bring:

Required



* BA/BS or Master’s degree in a natural science discipline.

Or equivalent experience.


* 2+ years of professional experience, including a minimum of two field seasons of wetland delineation.


* Minimum of two (2) field seasons of wetland delineation experience using the 1987 Corps of Engineers Wetland Delineation Manual and applicable Regional Supplement(s), along with appropriate wetland delineation training or coursework.


* Familiarity with U.S.

Army Corps of Engineers Regional Supplements (Arid West and Great Plains).


* Ability to conduct extended fieldwork (up to 75% travel) in variable weather conditions and challenging terrain.


* Working knowledge of sub-meter GPS technologies, field data collection, and map interpretation (NWI, USGS, aerial imagery).


* Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience preparing detailed technical reports.
