Dietary Cook

Job Summary:
Delta View Post Acute is seeking a reliable and motivated Dietary Cook to join our team.

The Dietary Cook is responsible for preparing nutritious, appetizing meals in accordance with planned menus and dietary requirements for our residents.

This role plays a key part in supporting resident health, satisfaction, and overall well-being.

Key Responsibilities:


* Prepare and cook meals following standardized recipes and dietary guidelines


* Ensure food is prepared in accordance with sanitary regulations and safety standards


* Review menus and production sheets to determine food quantities and preparation needs


* Accommodate special diets, including therapeutic and texture-modified diets


* Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen, equipment, and storage areas


* Assist with food inventory, storage, and rotation (FIFO practices)


* Work collaboratively with dietary staff and healthcare team members


* Ensure timely meal service to residents

Qualifications:


* Previous cooking experience in a healthcare, senior living, or institutional setting preferred


* Knowledge of dietary restrictions and modified diets is a plus


* Food Handler's Certification (or ability to obtain upon hire)


* Strong attention to detail and food safety practices


* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment


* Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented
