The Role: Data Scientist

The Data Scientist position is expected to have an understanding of related business processes & information needs.

This role will also require understanding of the end-to-end business process and will use improvement techniques, automation and change management techniques in order to navigate through their daily activities and propose optimizations.

The Data Scientist may, but not limited to, perform deep dive analytics for new projects and program for new requirements, create keystrokes for the detailed process and propose automations via SQL, Alteryx, Python and or other ETL tools.

Key expectation is to deliver advanced analytics solution using Predictive Models.

Ability to document processes and to effectively catalog them for easy access and cross training purposes.

Will lead high visibility projects related to automations and visualizations.

What will you do?

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:


* The Data Scientist must have strong experience using various data mining/data analysis methods, using different data tools, building and implementing models, using/creating algorithms and creating/running simulations.

They must be able to drive business results with their data-based insights.

They must be comfortable working with a wide range of stakeholders and functional teams.

The right candidate will have a passion for discovering solutions hidden in large data sets and working with stakeholders to improve business outcomes.


* Work with stakeholders throughout the organization to identify opportunities for leveraging company data to drive business solutions.


* Mine and analyze data from company databases to drive optimization and improvement of product development, marketing techniques and business strategies.


* Assess the effectiveness and accuracy of new data sources and data gathering techniques.


* Develop custom data models and algorithms to apply to data sets.


* Use predictive modeling to increase and optimize customer experiences, revenue generation, ad targeting and other business outcomes.


* Coordinate with different functional teams to implement models and monitor outcomes.


* Develop processes and tools to monitor and analyze model performance and data accuracy.


* This position will also help develop and deliver training modules to facilitate the roll-out of the new or redesigned processes & continuous improvements initiative


* Training and Development - train junior business analyst.
