Food and Beverage Receiver

As a Receiving & Storeroom Associate, you'll be the backbone of our inventory management-ensuring every food item and supply is accurately received, documented, stored, and distributed.
Your commitment to safety, sanitation, and regulatory compliance will help us maintain the highest standards, while your professional judgment and initiative will keep our kitchens running smoothly.
Job responsibilities
* Promptly receive, verify, and document all incoming food and supply deliveries to ensure inventory integrity.
* Safely unload shipments, inspect for shortages, overages, or damage, and immediately communicate discrepancies to supervisors.
* Efficiently distribute food and supplies to designated floors, confirming delivery with floor chefs to support uninterrupted kitchen operations.
* Consistently replenish stock in prep, production, and service areas to maintain smooth workflow and service continuity.
* Meticulously organize and store products in correct areas, using clear labeling and FIFO rotation to optimize inventory management.
* Diligently maintain exceptionally clean, orderly receiving rooms, coolers, freezers, and dry storage areas, ensuring aisles and equipment are always neat and accessible.
* Regularly monitor storage conditions and report any issues immediately to uphold safety and quality standards.
* Accurately assist with routine inventory counts and basic reconciliations to support precise tracking and reporting.
* Timely prepare returns and vendor pickups for incorrect or damaged items, ensuring swift resolution and minimal disruption.
* Responsibly break down pallets and packaging, disposing and recycling materials according to company policy and sustainability goals.
* Properly operate hand trucks and pallet jacks, following all training and company safety, sanitation, and food-handling standards.
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills
* Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and dependable attendance
* Attention to detail and high level of organization in a fast-paced, multi-floor environment
* Ability to perform physical tasks and work in chilled and frozen environments
* Clear communication skills for interaction with chefs, vendors, and teammates
* Prior receiving or food service experience
* Basic computer skills for data entry and email communications
* Safe operation of hand trucks and pallet jacks
* Accuracy in checking invoices and reporting shortages
* Maintenance of clean and orderly storage areas
