INJECTION TECHNICIAN PLASTIC
Key Responsibilities:
* Observe continuous operation of automatic machines to ensure that products meet specifications and to detect jams or malfunctions, making adjustments as necessary.
* Measure and visually inspect products for surface and dimension defects to ensure conformance to specifications, using precision measuring instruments.
* Set up, operate, or tend plastic molding machines to mold thermoplastic parts or products.
* Make adjustment to molding machines to regulate pressure, temperature, and speed and feed rates, and to set cycle times.
* Remove finished or cured products from dies or molds, using hand tools, air hoses, and other equipment, stamping identifying information on products when necessary.
* Trim excess material from parts, using knives, and grind scrap plastic for reuse.
* Mix and measure compounds, or weigh premixed compounds, and dump them into machine tubs, cavities, or molds.
* Unload finished products from conveyor belts, transport them, and store in warehouses.
* Connect water hoses to cooling systems of dies, using hand tools.
* Obtain and move specified patterns to workstations, manually or using hoists, and secure patterns to machines, using wrenches.
* Smooth and clean inner surfaces of molds, using brushes, scrapers, air hoses, or grinding wheels.
Qualifications:
* Must possess a High School Diploma or equivalent.
* Prior manufacturing, warehousing or industrial experience required.
* Demonstrated stable work history preferred.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
* Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality and safety.
Physical Requirements: This position may require frequent bending, lifting, and moving objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
Employees should be able to perform this duty with or without reasonable accommodations.
Schedule Requirements:
* Must be able to work the required scheduled hours from 8:30AM-5:30PM M-F.
* Must be available for overtime as production needs require with occasional Saturday's.
Pay Details: $18.00 per hour
