Nursing Assistant - MSC Recovery (PACU)

Riverside University Health System (RUHS) - Medical Center is hiring a Nursing Assistant to join the MSC Recovery (PACU) Division in Moreno Valley.

Under supervision, assists professional nursing personnel or other professional healthcare providers in providing basic patient care and treatment; observes patients via video monitoring equipment from a remote location; performs nonprofessional nursing duties in the care of physically and mentally ill patients; performs other related duties as required.

The Nursing Assistant is an entry level classification and typically reports to appropriate supervisory or management level nursing staff.

Incumbents may be assigned to any outpatient clinic or inpatient nursing unit across the Riverside University Health System (RUHS) or within the Department of Public Health.

The Nursing Assistant is distinguished from the Licensed Vocational Nurse I in that Nursing Assistants are not required to possess a license and do not administer medicine.

This position is responsible for supporting daily patient care and operational needs, including transporting patients to and from the main hospital and assisting them to their vehicles upon discharge.

Duties also include delivering specimens to the laboratory, checking in patients by obtaining basic measurements such as height and weight, and assisting with stocking the operating room and PACU with commonly used supplies.

Additionally, the role involves helping obtain and transport supplies to and from the main operating room to ensure efficient workflow.

This position requires frequent lifting, pushing gurneys, and extensive walking between various areas of the hospital.

Work schedule: 5/40 (M-F 9:00am-5:30pm)

SALARY RANGE

$20.71 - $27.60 Hourly
$3,589.73 - $4,783.33 Monthly
$43,076.80 - $57,399.93 Annually

Regular-Fulltime Nursing Assistant Differentials:

Evening Shift Diff (3p - 11:30p): $.60 for the time actually worked between the hours

Night Shift Diff (11:00p - 7:30a): $1.20 for the time actually worked between the hours
