What are we looking for?

The Geotechnical Engineering Intern is responsible for performing a variety of laboratory testing, site assessment, engineering duties and administrative tasks under general supervision.

As an intern at Intertek Building & Construction, you will receive hands-on training and mentorship, allowing you to gain valuable insights and skills in your field of study.

What you'll do:


* Perform a variety of laboratory testing, and site assessment duties under direct supervision and/or from detailed controlled procedures.


* Operate laboratory testing equipment and conducts soil testing


* Work utilizing drawings, specifications, and diagrams


* Visit project sites to stake soil boring locations in the field


* Maintain detailed documentation and data from test results


* Communicate effectively with project teams


* Assist in classifying soil samples and various geotechnical laboratory testing
