Riverwalk Post‑Acute is seeking an experienced Admissions / Desk Nurse to support our high‑volume skilled nursing facility.

This role is designed for a confident, highly organized nurse who has hands‑on experience independently managing multiple admissions and thrives in a fast‑paced environment.

Pay Range


* $29.00 - $34.00 per hour, DOE

Position Overview

This is a critical admissions‑focused role responsible for coordinating, processing, and managing concurrent admissions—particularly during peak afternoon hours.

Afternoon admission volume may range from 3-8 admissions, and prior experience handling this workload independently is required.

Key Responsibilities


* Independently manage and process multiple admissions simultaneously


* Complete admission assessments, documentation, and physician orders accurately and efficiently


* Coordinate with hospital partners, discharge planners, nursing leadership, and interdisciplinary teams


* Ensure compliance with facility policies, clinical standards, and regulatory requirements


* Maintain organization and workflow in a high‑volume, time‑sensitive environment


* Act as a clinical resource for admissions support and operational flow

Required Qualifications


* Active California LVN license in good standing


* Proven experience as a Desk Nurse and/or Admissions Nurse in a skilled nursing facility


* Demonstrated ability to handle high admissions volume independently


* Strong documentation, time‑management, and organizational skills


* Ability to perform effectively under pressure while maintaining resident safety and accuracy
