Job Summary

Provides strategic and operational leadership for the County's electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure initiatives.

Acts as a central coordinator, facilitating the planning, deployment, and ongoing management of EV supply equipment across bureau/department and in collaboration with external utilities and executives.

Manages vendor contracts and oversees project financials and timelines.

Analyzes usage data and coordinates all operational aspects, including repairs, with County facility management teams and charging station manufacturers.

Ensures compliance with evolving regulatory standards to optimize the County's electric vehicle charging network.

This position is Actively Recruited and At-Will.

Minimum Qualifications


* Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's Degree or higher is required, and


* Four (4) years managing large-scale clean transportation or energy initiatives, or directly related experience is required.

*Degrees awarded outside of the United States, with the exception of those awarded in one of the United States territories and Canada, must be credentialed by the World Education Services (WES), Educational Credential Evaluators (ECE) , or a National Association of Credential Evaluation (NACES) member organization.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND OTHER CHARACTERISTICS


* Knowledge of electric vehicle supply equipment (EVSE), charging standards, and the overall EV ecosystem, including emerging technologies and market trends.


* Ability to manage complex infrastructure projects from inception to completion, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and stakeholder coordination.


* Knowledge of administering and developing contracts, managing financial records, authorizing payments, and maintaining detailed project budgets.


* Ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders, including utility companies, department executives, technical staff, and the public.


* Skills to interpret EVSE usage data, perform high-level analysis, and develop clear, concise reports for internal and external audiences


* Knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations, codes, and standards related to EVSE construction and deployment.
