Housekeeper- Kitchen

The County of Riverside's - Riverside University Health System (RUHS), Kitchen division, is seeking a qualified Housekeeper to join their team located in Moreno Valley.
The ideal candidate will have at least one (1) year of housekeeping experience and a demonstrated history of maintaining employment in previous roles for a minimum of one year.

Food service experience is highly desirable.

We are seeking individuals with reliable availability who are interested in long-term employment and contributing to a consistent, team-oriented environment.

The most competitive candidate will have the ability to washing dishes, picking up dirty meal carts, and willing to help with other kitchen assignments.

Aptitude to observe all safety and security precautions in a hospital.

Ability to understand verbal and written instructions.

Capability to safely lift trash, and hazardous waste.

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, personnel, and the general public.

Ability to work with frequent interruptions.

Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient information.
Under general supervision, uses aseptic techniques to maintain offices, hospital patient units, hospital living quarters, and other assigned areas in the Riverside University Health System (RUHS)-Medical Center, RUHS-Public Health clinics, and the Psychiatric In-patient facility or other facilities as directed; and performs other related duties as required.

The Housekeeper is an entry-level classification and reports to a supervisory or manager level position.

This class is distinguished from the class of Custodian in that the former class performs aseptic cleaning of hospital/healthcare facilities and is responsible for the safe removal of hazardous and contaminated materials.

License/Certificate: Possession of a valid Riverside County Food Handler Card or Food Safety Manager Certification is required .

Copies of your valid County of Riverside Food Handler Certificate card must be uploaded to you profile as an attachment at the time of submitting your application.

Work Schedule and/or Shift Times: ( Wi ll be discussed during the interview and are subject to change upon department needs.)

Schedule: 5/40 2 pm to 10:30 pm off on Thurs and Fridays; some early shifts if needed.
