Job responsibilities


* Advises cross-functional teams on technology selection to achieve target state architecture and decisions on improvements to current technologies


* Develops multi-year roadmaps aligned with business and architecture strategy and priorities


* Creates complex and scalable coding frameworks using appropriate software design


* Develops secure and high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others


* Serves as the function's go-to subject matter expert


* Contributes to the development of technical methods in specialized fields in line with the latest product development methodologies


* Creates durable, reusable software frameworks that improves velocity and quality of output across teams and functions

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills


* Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 10+ years applied experience


* Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability


* Extensive experience in enterprise programming, with a strong understanding of technology and development principles.


* Proficiency in modern cloud platforms, particularly AWS, with experience in designing and managing scalable, high volume and high throughput cloud-based solutions.


* Deep expertise designing and governing REST/GraphQL/gRPC APIs and event-driven architectures at enterprise scale.


* Proficiency with Kafka or equivalent streaming platforms and robust messaging patterns with DLQs and idempotency.


* Proficient in using AI tooling and coding copilots (e.g., Copilot, Claude Code) to improve engineering productivity and code quality.


* Experience in DevSecOps practices using modern CI and CD tools


* Excellent communication and stakeholder management; able to collaborate deeply with developers and platform engineers to deliver pragmatic solutions.


* Advanced knowledge of software application development and technical processes with considerable in-depth knowledge in one or more technical disciplines (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, Generative AI etc.)


* Ability to present and effectively communicate with Senior Leaders and Executives and understanding of the business.
