Research Specialist II - RUHS Research Projects And Administration (Clinical Trials)

The County of Riverside's Comparative Effectiveness and Clinic Outcome Research Center (CECORC) with the Research Projects and Administration Unit at Riverside University Health System (RUHS) - Medical Center seeks a Research Specialist II to join our team in Moreno Valley.

The incumbent will be responsible for planning, designing, conducting, and evaluating comprehensive and complex research projects, while maintaining frequent communication with the Principal Investigator PI, monitoring team, and sponsors regarding trial-related issues, patient safety and care, documentation, and adverse events.

The incumbent will also be responsible for accurate, timely, and consistent data entry, processing and shipping patient samples, creating material for recruitment purposes, and performing daily duties such as patient screening, data collection, data entry, EMR chart reviews, and patient consenting.

Desired Qualifications:


* Relevant Bachelor's degree


* At least five years of clinical research experience


* Experience working on clinical trials, including industry-sponsored or federally funded trials involving drugs or devices in a hospital setting


* Knowledge of state and federal regulations governing clinical research, including HIPAA compliance


* Experience with patient consenting and recruitment in research studies


* Experience in the informed consent process, including creation and modification of informed consent documents


* Knowledge of Institutional Review Board IRB submissions and processes


* Experience interpreting and applying research protocols


* Experience conducting patient screening activities


* Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) chart review


* Proficiency in Microsoft Office

Work Schedule:

9/80 Friday - Day Shift

This position will work on-site and will require working off-hours during clinical trial recruitments.
