Senior Technician

Intertek is searching for a Senior Technician to join our Building & Construction team in our Winnipeg, Manitoba office.

The Senior Technician is responsible for:

What you’ll do:

* Become proficient in various CSA, ASTM, and AAMA standards for fenestration, air barrier, and whole building airtightness laboratory and field testing


* Conduct Laboratory testing on fenestration products


* Conduct Field testing on fenestration, air barrier, and guard rail products


* Conduct Field whole building airtightness tests


* Maintain accurate, clear and well-organized testing records and field documentation.


* Responsible for maintaining work order and unit posting process along with the Site Manager


* Perform routine verification, calibration, and maintenance of laboratory and field test equipment


* Hold a valid Class 5 MB driver’s license with a clean driving record.


* Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lb.


* Carrying out all responsibilities in a supportive manner with total adherence to: The Company’s Health, Safety and Environmental Policies and Procedures, Quality Management System, Compliance and Ethics Policies, Vision, Mission and Strategy, and exercises good judgment, common sense, and diplomacy.


* Other duties related to the above, as assigned

What it takes to be successful in this role:

Education and Experience Requirements


* Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology is preferred or, alternatively, equivalent technical experience.


* 5+ years progressive experience laboratory and field fenestration testing and whole building airtightness testing


* Familiar with civil engineering construction QA/QC inspection and test standards and procedures to ASTM and CSA standards.
