Position Summary

Sunnyvale Gardens Post Acute is seeking a dependable and detail‑oriented Maintenance Assistant to support the upkeep, safety, and overall appearance of our post‑acute care facility.

This role is essential to ensuring a comfortable and well‑maintained environment for our residents, visitors, and staff.

Key Responsibilities


* Assist with routine maintenance and repair of the facility, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general building systems


* Perform preventive maintenance tasks and respond promptly to maintenance requests


* Maintain cleanliness and organization of maintenance areas and equipment


* Support groundskeeping and exterior maintenance as needed


* Ensure compliance with safety standards, regulations, and infection control policies


* Report maintenance issues or safety concerns to the Maintenance Director


* Assist with room setups, furniture moves, and minor renovations

Qualifications


* Previous maintenance or facilities experience preferred (healthcare or senior living a plus)


* Basic knowledge of building systems and hand tools


* Ability to lift, carry, and perform physical tasks as required


* Strong attention to detail and problem‑solving skills


* Reliable, punctual, and team‑oriented


* Must be able to pass background screening per facility requirements
