Software Engineer [Multiple Positions Available]

Duties: Design, develop and implement software solutions.

Solve business problems through innovation and engineering practices.

Involved in all aspects of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) including analyzing requirements, incorporating architectural standards into application design specifications, documenting application specifications, translating technical requirements into programmed application modules, and developing or enhancing software application modules.

Identify or troubleshoot application code-related issues.

Take active role in code reviews to ensure solutions are aligned to pre-defined architectural specifications.

Assist with design reviews by recommending ways to incorporate requirements into designs and information or data flows.

Participate in project planning sessions with project managers, business analysts, and team members to analyze business requirements and outline proposed solutions.

This position requires up to 10% domestic travel.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum education and experience required: Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Applications, Software Engineering, or related field of study plus 3 years (36 months) of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, Java Full Stack Developer, Java/J2EE Developer, Python Developer, or related occupation.

The employer will alternatively accept a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Applications, Software Engineering, or related field of study plus 5 years (60 months) of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, Java Full Stack Developer, Java/J2EE Developer, Python Developer, or related occupation.

Skills Required: This position requires experience with the following: designing and developing enterprise software applications using Java, J2EE and Python; developing front-end applications using Angular, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3 and Bootstrap; utilizing Spring and Spring Boot framework to build Application programming interfaces (APIs); designing and building data models using Relational(Oracle) and NoSQL(ZODB) database; using Procedural Language SQL and MySQL for data retrieval; building and deploying software applications using Maven and Jenkins; using software testing methodologies including acceptance and smoke testing to ensure applications are being tested and ready for production; using GIT code repository; monitoring production applications using Dynatrace.

This position requires up to 10% domestic travel.
