Basic Qualifications:


* Minimum of 4 Years of manufacturing experience or relevant machinery


* Able to use the necessary measuring tools ( Micrometers , Calipers, Dial Indicators, Comparator, Gages, etc) as required

General Summary:

Set-up primary machines, such as davenports, to perform various operations, by self or others, in manufacturing departments to which assigned.

Able to trouble shoot all machining and tooling issues in the department as necessary.

Specific Responsibilities:


* Sets up completely and operates or sets up for operation of all standard and specialized machines in departments to which assigned.


* Sets up, according to work order and set up standard procedures, machines which have been adapted to, or designed for, specialized company products and/or processes.


* Checks parts with standard gages or precision measuring instruments and submits parts for "first article" inspection as required.


* Operates machines to ensure proper functioning and releases to and instructs operator in procedures for producing parts in conformance with specifications.


* Runs, monitors and troubleshoots equipment in production, adjusting set-up as necessary.


* Recognizes improper machine functioning and/or tooling problems and takes corrective action.


* Performs routine preventive maintenance procedures on equipment.


* Assists maintenance in troubleshooting equipment by applying knowledge of individual machine characteristics.
