Position Overview

Vasona Creek Healthcare is seeking an experienced and motivated Infection Prevention (IP) Nurse - LVN to join our team.

This full-time, benefitted position is responsible for leading and maintaining an effective infection prevention and control program to ensure a safe environment for residents, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities


* Oversee and manage the facility's Infection Prevention & Control Program


* Monitor, investigate, track, and report infections per CDC, state, and federal guidelines


* Educate and train staff on infection prevention policies and best practices


* Conduct audits, surveillance, and risk assessments; analyze trends and outcomes


* Collaborate with nursing leadership and interdisciplinary teams


* Prepare and maintain documentation for regulatory compliance and surveys


* Ensure adherence to OSHA, CDC, and public health standards

Qualifications


* Active LVN license in good standing


* Infection Prevention experience in skilled nursing or healthcare preferred


* Knowledge of CDC guidelines, NHSN reporting, and regulatory requirements


* Strong organizational, communication, and analytical skills


* Ability to work independently and collaboratively
