Certification Engineer

What will you do:
We are seeking a skilled Certification Engineer to work with our Power Products and ASCO Line of Business offers.
As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the certification of our innovative solutions and maintaining certification of our existing offerings.

Responsibilities:
Certification Planning and Execution:
* Lead project teams through planning and execution of certification efforts, collaborating with regulatory bodies and industry organizations.
* Ensure compliance with relevant certifications and standards for power products ATS solutions.
* Define and implement processes to ensure adherence to industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Cross-functional Collaboration:
* Collaborate closely with product managers, design engineers, and architects to understand system requirements and design effective certification approaches to meet project timelines.
* Work with development teams and certification body representatives to address findings and ensure certification and ongoing compliance.
Automatic Transfer Switch Expertise:
* Apply specialized knowledge in ATS technologies to understand end-to-end system
functionality, security, and performance.
* Keep abreast of industry trends and evolving certification requirements.
Quality Assurance:
* Implement and enforce quality practices to ensure that solutions meet the highest
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance validation and certification processes
Documentation and Reporting:
* Update product files and reports and establish test programs to support certification projects to accommodate product changes and innovations.
* Update product manuals and labels to maintain product certification and address product changes as they occur.
* Maintain detailed documentation to support certification audits and inquiries.
Regulatory Compliance:
* Interpret and apply relevant standards to new and existing products, ensuring feasibility and compliance.
* Stay informed about regulatory changes and updates relevant to Transfer Switches, Switchboards, and other commercial building products.
General:
* Ensure proactive compliance with emerging standards and regulations.
* Understand the changes in certification standards and assist in evolving partnerships with certification bodies
