What are we looking for?

The Materials Testing Lab Technician I is responsible for performing a variety of Construction Materials laboratory testing under general supervision and/or from detailed controlled procedures.

What you'll do:


* Perform Construction materials laboratory testing on concrete, soils, aggregates and asphalt


* Populate laboratory test data on standard company forms


* Maintain detailed tracking and logging procedures for samples delivered to the Pittsburgh, PA laboratory


* Occasionally assist on project sites out of the office in sampling materials, retrieving materials, or testing materials.


* Work under the direct supervision of a CMT Department Manager

Minimum Requirements & Qualifications:


* Valid driver's license and reliable driving record


* Must be able to work off shift and overtime as needed


* Ability to lift, move, push and pull 30 to 50 pounds frequently; Occasionally, over 50 pounds with assistance


* Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, (hearing) and to make the discriminations in sound


* Ability to kneel and squat occasionally


* Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time

Preferred Requirements & Qualifications:


* High School Diploma or equivalent


* 6 months of laboratory experience preferred, however willing to train


* ACI Certification preferred but not required
