Work Schedule:

80% FTE, Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 am - 4:30 pm.

No weekends or holidays.

Hours are based off the operational needs of the department.

You will work primarily at Eastpark Medical Center located in Madison, WI and also at University Hospital in Madison, WI.

Our team works alongside patients at every stage of their journey-whether newly diagnosed, undergoing treatment, recovering, or approaching end of life.

We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to:


* Collaborate with a dedicated team of interprofessional colleagues who bring compassion, expertise, and teamwork to the care of patients with life-limiting illnesses.


* Build therapeutic relationships with patients and their families, offering guidance and support during some of life's most challenging moments.


* Help manage pain and other complex symptoms related to cancer and serious illnesses.


* Support patients undergoing disease-directed treatments by focusing on quality of life through expert symptom management and holistic care-addressing emotional, psychological, and spiritual needs.


* Use advanced assessment skills to evaluate patient needs through in-person visits, telephone triage, and online patient portals.


* Participate in ongoing education and professional development within the specialized field of palliative care.

Qualifications



* Graduate of school of nursing Required


* Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) Preferred

Work Experience



* 6 months of RN experience Required


* Relevant Inpatient RN experience Preferred


* Ambulatory experience Preferred
