Risk & Safety Intern

General Purpose

The Risk & Safety Intern supports the organization's risk management and workplace safety initiatives.

This role provides hands-on experience in identifying hazards, supporting compliance efforts, and promoting a culture of safety across operations.

Essential Duties


* Assist in conducting safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments


* Support incident reporting, tracking, and basic analysis


* Help maintain safety documentation, policies, and compliance records


* Partner with teams to promote safety awareness and best practices


* Assist in preparing reports, presentations, and training materials


* Participate in safety meetings and continuous improvement initiatives

Qualifications:


* Currently pursuing a degree in Occupational Safety, Risk Management, Healthcare Administration, or a related field


* Strong attention to detail and organizational skills


* Basic knowledge of workplace safety principles (OSHA familiarity a plus)


* Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)


* Strong communication and problem-solving skills

Physical Requirements:


* Ability to walk facilities and observe operations


* Occasional lifting (up to 20 lbs)


* Ability to sit, stand, and use a computer for extended periods
