Pulmonary Nurse - RN

Job Summary:
Mission Valley Post Acute is seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in pulmonary care to join our team on a part-time basis.

The Pulmonary Nurse RN will play a vital role in managing and supporting patients with respiratory and chronic pulmonary conditions, ensuring high-quality, patient-centered care in a post-acute setting.

Key Responsibilities:


* Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients with pulmonary and respiratory conditions


* Perform detailed respiratory assessments, including monitoring oxygenation, lung sounds, and ventilatory status


* Administer medications, oxygen therapy, and specialized pulmonary treatments as prescribed


* Manage and monitor patients requiring respiratory support (e.g., nebulizers, inhalers, tracheostomy care, BiPAP/CPAP)


* Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement care plans


* Respond promptly to changes in patient condition and initiate appropriate interventions


* Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care and progress


* Educate patients and families on disease management, treatment plans, and preventive care


* Ensure adherence to all clinical protocols, safety standards, and regulatory requirements

Qualifications:


* Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing (California)


* Minimum of 1-2 years of nursing experience; pulmonary, respiratory, or post-acute care experience preferred


* Strong clinical judgment and critical thinking skills


* Experience with respiratory equipment and pulmonary care techniques


* Excellent communication and teamwork abilities


* Current BLS/CPR certification required (ACLS preferred)

* Part-time position with flexible scheduling options
