Portfolio Manager-Investment Management Group

Rockland Trust’s Investment Management Group (IMG) is seeking a highly collaborative, client-centric Portfolio Manager to join our growing wealth management team.

This role is designed for an experienced investment professional who excels in serving high-net-worth individuals and families and values the impact of consistent, in-person engagement to build trust, deepen relationships, and deliver exceptional outcomes.

As a key member of IMG, you will serve as the lead investment advisor for a portfolio of high-net-worth clients, working closely with Relationship Managers and internal specialists to deliver customized, sophisticated investment strategies.

A central focus of this role is maintaining a strong physical presence with clients—conducting regular in-person meetings to review portfolios, discuss market developments, and evolve strategies in alignment with clients’ long-term objectives.

This position blends advanced portfolio management expertise with a highly personalized, relationship-driven approach, ensuring that each client benefits from thoughtful, proactive, and face-to-face engagement.

Key Responsibilities


* Serve as the primary investment advisor for high-net-worth clients, delivering tailored portfolio strategies and ongoing investment guidance through regular in-person meetings. 


* Lead and participate in client meetings—both independently and alongside Relationship Managers—with a strong emphasis on in-person portfolio reviews and relationship development. 


* Build deep, trusted relationships with clients by maintaining a consistent on-site presence and proactively engaging in discussions around performance, goals, and market conditions. 


* Partner closely with Relationship Managers to deliver a seamless, team-based client experience, supporting both ongoing relationships and new business development. 


* Collaborate with internal financial planners, trust officers, private bankers, and other specialists to integrate investment strategies into comprehensive wealth plans. 


* Design, implement, and actively manage customized portfolios aligned with client objectives, risk tolerance, tax considerations, and liquidity needs. 


* Clearly communicate portfolio positioning, performance results, and market insights in a consultative, client-friendly manner during live meetings and reviews. 


* Participate in prospect meetings, presenting investment philosophy and capabilities with confidence and a client-focused approach. 


* Execute the firm’s investment philosophy through asset allocation, security selection, and manager due diligence across asset classes. 


* Stay actively engaged in investment committee discussions, research initiatives, and portfolio strategy development.
