Product Engineer

Basic Qualifications


* A bachelor's degree in engineering discipline from an accredited institution.


* 1 year work experience in an Engineering role, including co-op or internship experience.


* Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Preferred Qualifications


* 3 years' work experience in an Engineering role.


* Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification.


* Effective oral and written communication skills.


* Efficient analytical and problem-solving skills.


* Working knowledge of computer applications (i.e.

Microsoft Office products, graphics, and statistical analysis software).


* Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.


* Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.


* Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.


* Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.


* Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.


* Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.

Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Our state-of-the-art investment casting facility in La Porte, Indiana is seeking a Product Engineer to join our team.

Nestled halfway between South Bend and Chicago, along the shores of Lake Michigan - our facility in La Porte, Indiana supplies jet engine components to some of the most trusted names in the Aerospace industry.

Job Summary - This position is responsible for the dimensional integrity of an assigned portfolio of investment cast parts.

Responsibility includes the design and acquisition of tooling, fixtures, gauges, and dimensional inspection plans necessary to produce parts that consistently meet or exceed our customers' requirements and expectations.

Also, this position will identify and lead continuous improvement activities to reduce cost, improve scrap and rework yields, and improve the overall efficiency of the manufacturing process.
