Pay Range: $21.00 - $24.00 per hour (DOE)

Westgate Gardens Care Center is seeking a reliable and hands-on Janitorial Supervisor to lead our Environmental Services team.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys both leading a team and working alongside them to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our residents and staff.
General Purpose

The Janitorial Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the housekeeping and laundry departments while also performing routine janitorial duties.

This position ensures the facility is maintained in a clean, sanitary, and orderly condition in accordance with all federal, state, and local regulations.
Key Responsibilities


* Perform routine janitorial and housekeeping duties, including cleaning resident rooms, common areas, and facility spaces


* Supervise housekeeping and laundry staff to ensure daily tasks are completed efficiently and thoroughly


* Create and manage staff schedules for housekeeping and laundry departments


* Order and maintain inventory of cleaning supplies, equipment, and linens


* Train, coach, and support team members to maintain high standards of cleanliness and safety


* Conduct routine inspections of facility areas to ensure compliance with sanitation standards


* Ensure proper use and storage of cleaning chemicals and equipment


* Respond promptly to facility needs, including spills, urgent cleaning requests, and safety concerns


* Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment


* Work collaboratively with other departments to support overall resident care


* Ensure adherence to infection control and safety protocols

Qualifications


* High school diploma or equivalent required


* Prior experience in housekeeping or environmental services required


* Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred


* Strong organizational and time management skills


* Ability to lead a team while also performing hands-on duties


* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills


* Knowledge of cleaning procedures, safety standards, and infection control practices

Physical Demands


* Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching


* Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds


* Ability to perform repetitive cleaning tasks throughout the shift


* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and respond quickly to needs

Work Environment

The work environment is a healthcare setting with a low to moderate noise level.
