About the role:

At Vantage, the AVP, Underwriting - Financial Institutions is a member of our Financial Institutions team.

This role is responsible for underwriting new and renewal Financial Institutions business according to assigned authority level and established guidelines.

This position provides a unique opportunity to be part of a team building a profitable book of business within a successful and growing organization.

This role reports to SVP of Financial Institutions and is a hybrid opportunity based in Vantage’s New York City (midtown) office.

The base salary expectation for this role is between $160,000 and $175,000.

The actual base salary for the position may be higher, commensurate with the candidate's experience.

Responsibilities & Accountabilities:


* Review submissions to ensure alignment with risk appetite and business strategy. 


* Generate new business by working with brokers and clients to develop innovative ways to deploy Financial Institutions products. 


* Effectively market to our brokers nationwide, leveraging and cultivating new and existing relationships. 


* Analyze complex risks and unusual transaction structures thoroughly and effectively. 


* Perform underwriting activities associated with managing all underwriting transactions, service standards, compliance rules, and documentation. 


* Demonstrate a customer service mindset by proactively engaging internal and external contacts. 


* Collaborate and correspond with internal and external contacts to achieve a high level of service and meet client expectations. 


* Interact directly with various business partners and internal departments. 


* Meet departmental service standards in place for each process. 


* Perform other duties and special projects as assigned under minimal supervision.
