Pediatric Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant, Gastroenterology

Nemours Children's Health is seeking an experienced full time Advanced Practice Provider for our Jacksonville GI Team!

Key Responsibilities


* Practices collaboratively with physicians and other health care providers to provide high quality healthcare to children.


* Performs appropriate assessment of patient/family upon referral/admission.


* Performs ongoing assessment and evaluation of patient progress and revision of interdisciplinary plan of care.


* May use prescriptive authority if appropriately credentialed to do so.


* Collaborates interprofessionally as needed.


* Identifies patient/family need for further resources and initiates appropriate referrals.


* Assists the Staff Nurse in formulating the Nursing Care Plan and setting priorities based on the needs of patient and family.


* Documents patient care and progress on patient's chart.


* Coordinates Nursing Plan for Discharge in collaboration with the Staff Nurse and other members of the health care team.

Qualifications

Nurse Practitioner:


* Current Florida Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner License Pediatric


* Certification via National Certification Center


* FNPs considered with 2 years of pediatric experience


* Florida DEA


* AHA BLS upon hire

Physician Assistants


* Current Florida Physician Assistant License


* National Certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants


* Florida DEA


* AHA BLS upon hire
