Reports to: Manager, Artist Services
Compensation: $18.47 per hour

Internship Term: Internship will begin at the end of June/beginning of July 2026, and will conclude by October 2026, with a maximum of 400 hours.
About the Los Angeles Philharmonic Association
The Los Angeles Philharmonic Association was founded in 1919 and is currently led by the visionary Venezuelan conductor Gustavo Dudamel, who became its eleventh Music Director in 2009.
The LA Phil serves more than one million people annually through 300 classical, jazz, world music, and pop concert offerings at Walt Disney Concert Hall, the Hollywood Bowl, and The Ford.
In addition, the LA Phil serves approximately 60,000 children and their families each year through Learning initiatives each year.
Position Summary
The Artist Department Intern will assist in all aspects of artist logistical arrangements for Los Angeles Philharmonic productions at the Hollywood Bowl during its 2026 season.
A large part of their work will include coordinating the daily driving schedule, and assisting with artist travel, hospitality, and ticket needs.
Any remote portion of the job will include responsibilities related to the driving schedule and preparing for the Walt Disney Concert Hall 2026-2027 season.
The intern will be expected to work approximately 30-40 hours per week starting at the end of June/beginning of July through September.
Position Elements
* Coordinate daily driving schedule for driving staff, in conjunction with Artist Department and Presentations staff.
* Assist department staff with arrangements for guest artists, including travel & hotel arrangements, rehearsal & performance schedules, post-concert dinners, ticketing & parking needs and backstage hospitality orders.
* Work with LA Philharmonic staff, travel agents, car rental companies, artists, artist management, hotel staff and other related individuals in a manner that fosters and maintains positive working relationships.
* Assist department staff with maintenance of artist files.
* Intern will not be required to work concert duty.
However, at the discretion of the Artist Department Manager s/he may be given additional artist-related responsibilities on a few productions, which may include concert duty.
Minimum Requirements
* Must meet the LA County Arts Internship Program requirements.
* Must be highly organized, accurate and detail-oriented.
* Must be reliable and dependable, as well as focused and self-motivated.
* Must be able to juggle large quantities of information and meet deadlines.
* Should possess strong oral and written communication skills.
* Should be a team player with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
* Must be computer literate (Word, Excel, Outlook, Internet).
