Compensation:

Hourly Rates


* First 18 months: $24.52



* Last 6 Months: $30.01

Additional Financial Compensation


* The LA Phil contributes 1% of gross compensation to your 401(k) Plan, in addition to your wages


* WDP Stagehands receive an amount equal to four percent (4%) of their gross earnings as vacation pay (paid weekly)


* Eligible for the IATSE-funded Health & Welfare Plan


* Eligible for the IATSE-funded Pension Plan

Work Schedule:


* 24 hours per week (minimum)



* 47 work weeks per year (minimum)

About the Beckmen YOLA Center

The 25,000-square-foot Judith and Thomas L.

Beckmen YOLA Center serves as the home of YOLA's fifth site in Inglewood as well as providing a gathering place for students from existing and future YOLA sites.

In addition to its youth programming, the Beckmen YOLA Center will also be a space for music educators from across the U.S.

and around the world to collaborate and learn.

It will be a cultural resource for the people of Inglewood, and act as the focal point of the LA Phil's commitment to community engagement in the area.

The project, which has emerged out of a close collaboration between of the City of Inglewood, architect Frank Gehry, and LA Phil Music & outgoing Artistic Director Gustavo Dudamel, is made possible by a leadership gift from Judith and Thomas L.

Beckmen.

YOLA Mission

YOLA provides transformational and equitable access to music education for young people from historically marginalized communities, to support their personal development, their communities, and beyond.

Workforce Development Program (WDP)

The Los Angeles Philharmonic and YOLA, in partnership with IATSE Local 33, offer the Workforce Development Program (WDP) to support early-career and aspiring stage technicians in building sustainable careers in stagecraft.

The program is designed to reduce barriers to union entry while providing paid, hands-on experience primarily at the Beckmen YOLA Center (BYC).

Participants gain on-the-job technical training, access to industry-recognized trainings and certifications, and structured professional development focused on workplace readiness, networking, and career planning.
