Sr. Construction Project Manager

\n\n\nJoin Our Team as a Senior Construction Project Manager to lead construction projects while ensuring adherence to AutoZone's policies, procedures, and standards.

Optimize performance by leveraging AutoZone's programs and resources, including materials, capital, equipment, and people.

Monitor contractor performance to exceed expectations in quality, cost, schedule, safety, and security, driving excellence and impactful results.

Responsibilities



* Manage multiple high-volume construction projects with critical decision-making and leadership skills.


* Analyze and interpret complex business documents, providing effective responses to sensitive issues.


* Identify project risks, develop mitigation strategies, and deploy actionable plans.


* Lead site inspections to ensure quality, schedule adherence, and compliance with AutoZone standards.


* Oversee financials, schedules, and project metrics, maintaining ongoing updates and reporting.


* Conduct design reviews and manage change order requests to align with project goals.


* Train and mentor Construction Project Managers in AutoZone's standards and best practices.


* Ensure adherence to OSHA 30 safety regulations and maintain quality assurance on all projects.


* Collaborate across business channels, delivering persuasive presentations on complex topics.


* Collaborate with utility companies to ensure designs align with utility service requirements and address field revisions during construction.


* Monitor and update the Development Department tracking system for all project milestones and key dates.


* Prepare and supervise site plans, ensuring alignment with approved layouts and construction documents.


* Coordinate with the National Sign Manager to confirm accurate exterior signage placement and sizing in construction drawings

Qualifications

What We're Looking For:



* Bachelor's degree in Construction Science, Civil Engineering, or equivalent experience.


* 8-15 years of experience in construction project management.


* Proven ability to succeed in a fast-paced environment.


* Strong decision-making skills, aligning with fiduciary responsibilities and policies.


* Availability to travel up to 3 days per week.


* Experience leading and managing internal and external teams with accountability for results.


* Effective time management, conflict resolution, problem-solving, and organizational skills to meet tight deadlines.


* Demonstrated experience negotiating and facilitating change orders.


* Adherence to organizational policies and procedures.


* Ability to complete Design Reviews for assigned Construction Documents.


* Proficiency in compiling and presenting project information to large groups.


* Experience managing multiple direct reports.


* OSHA 30 certification.


* PMP certification.
