Conference and Events Manager
Full Time Conference & Events Manager
Crowne Plaza Sydney Darling Harbour
As our Conference & Events Manager, you’ll be the driving force behind the successful conversion, planning and execution of all meetings and events.
Working closely with the Director of Sales & Marketing, Kitchen and Food & Beverage team, you’ll ensure every event exceeds expectations—from first enquiry to final delivery.
We’re seeking a confident and driven professional who combines strong commercial acumen with a passion for service excellence.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Lead the end-to-end planning and execution of conferences, meetings and events
* Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders
* Collaborate across departments to ensure seamless delivery
* Drive revenue through proactive sales, upselling and strategic planning
* Manage forecasting, reporting and budgeting to achieve financial targets
* Deliver exceptional guest experiences through attention to detail and personalised service
* Lead and support a small team to ensure high performance and engagement
What We’re Looking For
* Minimum 3 years’ experience in conference and events or similar role
* Proven ability to drive revenue, convert business and build repeat clientele
* Strong communication, organisation and stakeholder management skills
* A proactive, solutions-focused approach with excellent attention to detail
* Leadership capability with experience supporting or managing team members
* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
* Experience with Opera PMS and Delphi (or similar systems) is advantageous
* Relevant qualification in Hospitality, Events or a related field (preferred)
