Position Overview
As a Dietary Aide, you play an important role in creating a positive dining experience for those we serve.
You'll work alongside our kitchen team to prepare, serve, and maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work, teamwork, and contributing to the well-being of others.
You will report directly to the Cook and Dietary Supervisor, supporting daily kitchen operations based on shift needs.
What You'll Do
* Prepare and set up meal trays with accuracy and care
* Assist in serving meals and snacks to residents or guests
* Clean and sanitize dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment
* Operate and monitor the dishwasher to ensure proper sanitation standards
* Check and record dish machine temperatures and sanitizer levels
* Maintain cleanliness of kitchen surfaces, floors, and storage areas
* Properly store incoming groceries and supplies
* Take out trash and maintain a clean, organized workspace
* Support the kitchen team as needed and help ensure smooth daily operations
* Participate in training and ongoing development opportunities

* Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions
* Willingness to help wherever needed
* Flexible Schedule, every other weekend, 6am-2:30pm or 12:30pm-9pm shifts
Qualifications
* High school diploma or equivalent preferred
* Ability to read recipes and follow basic instructions
* Basic math skills (fractions, measurements, etc.)
* Food Handler's Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
Physical Requirements
This is an active role that includes:
* Standing and walking for most of the shift
* Lifting up to 50 lbs regularly
* Frequent bending, reaching, and movement
* Working in a kitchen environment with moderate noise levels
