About the E&T Facility
Our 16-bed Evaluation & Treatment Facility offers inpatient services for adults detained under the Washington State Involuntary Treatment Act (RCW 71.05).
Patients may be admitted for 72-hour involuntary holds or extended 14-day commitments.
Our interdisciplinary team works together to stabilize, evaluate, and treat individuals experiencing acute psychiatric symptoms-with the goal of restoring safety, dignity, and wellness.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following, other duties may be assigned
* Documents delivery of services accurately and appropriately in the medical record as required by the regulatory organizations.
Completes all paperwork to agency standard and within required timelines.
* Assists patient to achieve treatment plan goals and evaluates progress throughout treatment.
* Routinely assesses risk issues including danger to self and others and develops plans with client to mitigate those risks.
* Plan, implement, and facilitate psychoeducational and process groups using evidence-based practices tailored to client needs.
* Provide individual therapy and other behavioral health interventions utilizing evidence-based approaches whenever possible.
* Develop criteria and clinical standards for process groups utilizing research topics relevant to client population.
* Works collaboratively and coordinates with members of the treatment team, psychiatric services, and outpatient providers.
* Support and mentor interns by enhancing their clinical learning experiences and assisting with professional development goals.
* Coordinates services with community agencies (e.g.
DSHS, DDD, Courts, etc.) and works in context of a treatment team as needed and appropriate.
* Become knowledgeable of the ITA court system and provide support to clients to better understand their rights
* Work closely with families to support and align with the discharge goals of clients and help families understand self-determination of the client
* Makes appropriate referrals for auxiliary services such as drug and alcohol services when clinically indicated.
* Coordinates care with primary care and collaborating professionals from other systems as well as natural supports as appropriate.
* Participates in regularly scheduled supervision and team meetings.
