Your Role: Manager, QA (On The Floor)

As a Manager, QA (On The Floor), you will be part of Elanco Animal Health’s Quality Assurance organization, providing real-time GMP oversight directly on the manufacturing floor.

In this role, you will lead a shift-based QA team, ensuring immediate quality support, proactive issue resolution, and strong alignment with operations to maintain compliance and inspection readiness.

Your Responsibilities:


* Lead and develop a team of QA Associates providing on-the-floor (OTF) support, ensuring strong floor presence and real-time quality oversight


* Oversee in-process batch record reviews, cleaning logs, aseptic observations, and GMP walkthroughs to ensure compliance


* Provide real-time quality guidance and ensure immediate containment and resolution of quality events during manufacturing


* Drive a Right First Time (RFT) culture through coaching, Gemba walks, and cross-functional collaboration with Operations


* Support audits and ensure inspection readiness by maintaining compliance with global quality standards and regulatory expectations

What You Need to Succeed (minimum qualifications):


* Education: Bachelor’s Degree in a science-related field (e.g., Biology, Chemistry)


* Required Experience: Experience supporting GMP-regulated manufacturing environments with strong understanding of aseptic behavior and floor compliance (FDA/USDA)


* Top 2 skills: Strong real-time decision making in a manufacturing environment and ability to lead and develop teams in fast-paced, shift-based operations

What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications):


* Experience with SAP, Veeva, and Microsoft Office tools


* Prior experience in a QA or Operations leadership role


* Knowledge of Lean/5S methodologies


* Experience supporting inspection readiness and audit interactions


* Ability to influence cross-functional teams across multiple shifts
