Licensed Vocational Nurse I/II - MHSA Indio Adult Clinic

The County of Riverside - Riverside University Health System (RUHS) - Behavioral Health is seeking a Spanish bilingual Licensed Vocational Nurse I/II to join their MHSA Adult Clinic team located in Indio.

Under supervision and direction of a registered nurse, nurse practitioner, physician assistant, or physician, the incumbent will be responsible for performing nursing duties within the scope of the Nurse Practice Act for vocational nursing, in the care of patients in the Department of Mental Health or Public Health Ambulatory Family Health Center; and perform other related duties as required .

The Licensed Vocational Nurse I is the first working level in the LVN series.

The Licensed Vocational Nurse I is distinguished from the Licensed Vocational Nurse II in that the latter has one year or more of nursing experience.

The Licensed Vocational Nurse I/II is distinguished from the class of Nursing Assistant, Health Services Assistant or Certified Medical Assistant, in that a state license is required of incumbents and they perform a more highly skilled form of nursing care.

At the Indio Behavioral Health Adult Services Clinic, we proudly serve adults ages 18-59 who are facing challenges related to their mental health and substance use.

Our program is designed to meet the diverse needs of individuals in Riverside County, providing compassionate and comprehensive support tailored to each person's unique circumstances.

Whether individuals are experiencing anxiety, depression, or substance use issues, our dedicated team is here to offer guidance, resources, and personalized care to foster healing and recovery.

We provide groups, individual therapy and counseling, case management, medication management, and some field services.

The department is looking for candidates who are very hands-on but on-the-job training will be provided.

Required valid licenses and certificates:


* California Vocational Nurse's License issued by the California Board of Vocational Nurse and Psychiatric Technician Examiners


* Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Work Schedule:
9/80 Monday through Friday 7:30am to 5pm; every other Friday off

Salary Range:
Licensed Vocational Nurse I: $27.4177 - $40.1876/hour
Licensed Vocational Nurse II: $29.0135 - $42.5261/hour
