Dietary Aide - Part Time

Position Summary

Moraga Post Acute is seeking a reliable and hardworking Dietary Aide to join our team.

The Dietary Aide plays an essential role in supporting the dietary department by assisting with meal preparation, service, and maintaining a clean and sanitary kitchen environment to ensure residents receive nutritious and enjoyable meals.

Key Responsibilities


* Assist in the preparation and serving of meals in accordance with dietary guidelines and resident needs


* Set up meal trays, deliver food to residents, and assist with feeding when necessary


* Follow portion control and special diet instructions (e.g., low sodium, diabetic diets)


* Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen, dining areas, and equipment


* Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment promptly and properly


* Stock and organize food supplies and assist with inventory as needed


* Follow all food safety, sanitation, and infection control procedures


* Provide excellent customer service to residents and staff


* Assist with special events or catering within the facility as needed

Qualifications


* High school diploma or equivalent preferred


* Previous experience in food service or healthcare dietary setting is a plus


* Knowledge of basic food safety and sanitation practices


* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment


* Strong attention to detail and organizational skills


* Excellent communication and teamwork abilities


* Compassionate and service-oriented attitude toward residents
