Dietary Aide

Position Summary

Hayward Gardens Post Acute is seeking a dependable and flexible Dietary Aide to join our team on an on-call basis.

This role is essential in supporting the dietary department to ensure residents receive nutritious meals in a clean, safe, and welcoming environment.

Ideal candidates are team-oriented, responsive to scheduling needs, and committed to quality service.

Key Responsibilities


* Assist with meal preparation and tray setup according to dietary guidelines


* Deliver and serve meals to residents in a timely and courteous manner


* Support residents with feeding as needed


* Follow special diet instructions and portion control requirements


* Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, dishes, and dining areas


* Maintain proper food storage and handling procedures


* Restock supplies and assist with inventory as needed


* Adhere to all food safety, sanitation, and infection control standards


* Provide excellent customer service to residents and staff


* Be available to work on short notice, including weekends and holidays

Qualifications


* High school diploma or equivalent preferred


* Previous food service or healthcare dietary experience is a plus


* Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices


* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment


* Strong reliability and flexibility for on-call scheduling


* Good communication and teamwork skills


* Compassionate and service-focused attitude
