Job Summary
Responsible for miscellaneous tasks supporting the project management, engineering and coordination of activities related to transmission, substation, and distribution System Improvement projects.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Responsible for performing tasks associated with engineering and construction activities for substations, transmission lines, distribution lines, and other facility relocation projects.
Specific duties include, but not limited to, reviewing distributed energy resource (DER) interconnection applications, using a distribution system engineering analysis tool to review switching and load flow, and reviewing distribution long range planning.
Receives direction from the Planning Manager or other supervisors to define objectives.
Regularly works with confidential data related to location of electric facilities, budgets, and schedules.
Minimum Qualifications of Position
* High school diploma and current full time (at least 12 credit hours) enrollment in an accredited bachelor’s or graduate program in Engineering or Construction Management.
* Requires valid Colorado driver's license with satisfactory driving record within CORE standards.
* Proficient with Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, Outlook, Project, PowerPoint and with general office equipment.
Knowledge and Skills
* Requires organizational skills and ability to communicate effectively with other departments to furnish or obtain information.
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements
* Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally.
Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.
Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met.
* The worker is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions (as in typical office or administrative work).
