Restaurant Supervisor

The Restaurant Supervisor at Hotel Ella is responsible for supporting the daily operation of the restaurant and ensuring every guest receives warm, attentive, and polished service that reflects the hotel's standards.

This role works closely with restaurant leadership to oversee service periods, guide front-of-house team members, maintain service consistency, and ensure the restaurant operates efficiently, professionally, and in alignment with brand expectations.

The Restaurant Supervisor is a hands-on leader who sets the tone for service, supports team development, and helps create a memorable dining experience for guests.

This individual must be highly visible on the floor, proactive in addressing guest and team needs, and committed to upholding quality, cleanliness, and hospitality standards at all times.

Essential Responsibilities


* Supervise day-to-day restaurant operations and provide leadership during service periods


* Support, coach, and direct front-of-house staff to ensure service standards are consistently met


* Lead by example through active floor presence, guest engagement, and hands-on operational support


* Monitor service flow, table turns, and overall dining room efficiency to ensure a smooth guest experience


* Assist with opening and closing procedures, shift execution, and daily service readiness


* Help train new team members on service standards, menu knowledge, steps of service, and departmental procedures


* Reinforce compliance with grooming, uniform, attendance, and performance expectations


* Respond promptly and professionally to guest concerns, resolving issues with urgency and hospitality


* Work closely with culinary and bar teams to maintain communication, timing, and execution during service


* Ensure cleanliness and organization of the dining room, service stations, and front-of-house areas


* Support scheduling, side work completion, cash handling, and other administrative shift responsibilities as assigned


* Monitor adherence to health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol service standards


* Assist leadership in maintaining team morale, accountability, and a positive work environment


* Help drive revenue opportunities through service excellence, upselling, and thoughtful guest interaction

Qualifications


* Previous restaurant leadership or supervisory experience preferred, ideally in a hotel, upscale, or high-volume environment


* Strong knowledge of restaurant service standards and front-of-house operations


* Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills


* Ability to remain calm, organized, and effective in a fast-paced environment


* Strong attention to detail and commitment to guest satisfaction


* Flexible schedule, including availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as business demands


* Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and lift or carry items as needed during service
