Elections Technician II - Services

The Riverside County Department of Registrar of Voters is seeking an Elections Technician II - Services for the Voter Services Division for the Riverside location .

PLEASE NOTE: The position may require full-time office presence for several months leading up to, during, and after elections due to the high workload.

The role may involve working weekends and holidays, including mandatory overtime during election and post-election periods.

Travel throughout the county may be required.

Outside of election season, employees may choose from a 4/10, 9/80, or 5/40 workweek schedule, with the option of a hybrid schedule based on business needs.

Flexibility working overtime, weekends, and holidays is required.

The Elections Technician II - Services will be responsible for providing customer service to the public at the front counter, both over the phone and in person.

The incumbent will be answering a high volume of phone calls, greeting customers at the front desk, communicating and explaining voting information to the public, assisting voters with election related questions, performing data entry using the Election Information Management System (EIMS), entering and updating voter records, collecting voter registration cards, and other general election related clerical tasks.

The most competitive candidate will have previous election cycle experience, knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel and Word, Publisher), Adobe, and California Elections Codes, and previous experience with data entry and high volume calls.

• Accepts and performs computerized and/or manual scanning of Voter Affidavits or records for signature imaging and future visual verification/comparisons.
