About You

We're looking for someone who has:

A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture from an NAAB-accredited program, with at least 5 years of professional experience in architecture and/or construction, preferably 10-15 years in a similar role.


* Experience in the aviation industry is preferred, but not required.


* Proficiency in Revit strongly preferred.


* Extensive knowledge of architectural systems, interior and exterior, with fundamental knowledge of civil, structural, mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems.


* Fundamental knowledge of the permitting process for civil and architectural new construction and renovations.

About the Role

The Construction Administrator supports the preconstruction and construction phases by coordinating with the design team, contractors, and stakeholders on bid documents, RFIs, submittals, and site observations.

This individual will also manage document controls, assist in reviewing contractor payments, punch lists, and closeout documentation.

Some travel within a two-hour radius of Richmond, Virginia, is required, and responsibilities may vary depending on the project size.

As a Construction Administrator - Aviation Market, you will:


* Contributes to the pre-bid process for construction management.


* Contributes to the 30%, 60% & 90% drawings and specifications review with CM, Quality Pillar and Constructability Review Team.


* Contributes to the QC and Constructability Review, and Review Comments to the Project Design Team.


* Assists Project Design team with coordination of bid documents.


* Attends Pre-Bid meetings, coordinates Bidders' questions with the Design Team, Issues Addenda, and Tracks Bid and Award process.


* Prepares meeting documentation for preconstruction conferences and develops project-specific pre-construction packages for meetings.


* Attends Owner/Architect/Contractor construction meetings as the Architect's representative.
