Shop Helper

Compensation: $29.16 per hour.

This hourly rate is regarding base pay only and does not include benefits and potential bonuses.

Overall compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographical location, skillset, education, and experience.

Our Construction Equipment group is seeking a full-time Shop Helper for our Middleboro, MA branch.

A Shop Helper is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the shop, supporting technicians across the branch, and daily organizing of the yard.

There will be a need for maintaining the operations of the equipment as well as having an ambition to grow into a technician.

Responsibilities:

The primary responsibilities of the position consist of, but are not limited to:



* Daily cleaning of the shop.


* Removal of trash in and around the shop.


* Maintain yard organization and cleanliness.


* Support the techs in the shop when extra help is needed.


* Work between service / parts when techs needs parts for jobs.


* Complete all required paperwork and time records accurately and completely.


* Account for all machines, materials, tools and attachments used as required.


* Inspect and account for machines being shipped and received.


* Drive and work safely in accordance with company and/or customer safety policies and procedures.


* Develop and maintain positive, effective working relationship with customers and co-workers.


* Maintain equipment, storage devices, service manuals and related documents.


* Attend meetings, training classes and other company activities as required.


* Maintain uniforms in order to look neat and professional at all times.


* Report all accidents, injuries, safety violations and unsafe working conditions immediately.


* Keep an adequate set of personal tools as required by supervisor at all times.


* Various additional responsibilities as assigned by management.


* Follow all company policies and procedures, such as, OSHA, DOT Hazmat, warranty, safety, and environmental


* Work with all departments and employees to ensure quality of customer service.


* Incorporating Alta's Guiding Principles into daily activities


* Performs other duties as assigned


* Consistent, regular, and reliable attendance including being ready for work at the designated start time

Qualifications:

Desired Skills and Qualifications:


* Must have good customer relation skills


* Knowledge of construction equipment


* Experience operating heavy equipment is required


* Must have a Hoisting License through the state of Massachusetts or have the ability to obtain one


* Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with a friendly and professional personality


* Computer programs - Microsoft Outlook and basic computer skill


* Language Skills - Intermediate: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals....
