RN – Burn Med‑Surg (Night Shift)
This full‑time night‑shift RN role provides high‑quality, individualized care to burn and medical‑surgical patients as part of an interdisciplinary team.
The nurse uses the full nursing process—assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation—to deliver safe, evidence‑based care.
The position emphasizes patient advocacy, collaboration, critical thinking, and maintaining strong clinical competencies.

Key Responsibilities
Clinical Practice
• Deliver patient‑centered, evidence‑based care using the nursing process
• Provide culturally sensitive, relationship‑based care tailored to patient needs
• Partner with patients and families through communication, education, and shared decision‑making
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation and follow current clinical standards
Teamwork & Collaboration
• Coordinate care with the healthcare team and support smooth patient flow
• Communicate effectively during rounds, handoffs, and interdisciplinary discussions
• Promote a respectful, inclusive work environment
• Participate in performance improvement and shared governance activities
Professional Development
• Complete required education and competency assessments
• Serve as a preceptor or mentor to support staff development
• Engage in ongoing learning, research utilization, and evidence‑based practice
Quality, Safety & Resource Management
• Uphold organizational policies, regulatory standards, and ethical nursing practice
• Support initiatives that improve patient outcomes and reduce adverse events
• Use resources efficiently and help develop protocols that enhance care delivery
Other Duties
• Perform additional responsibilities as assigned
• Maintain professionalism, integrity, and patient advocacy
Requirements
• Education: Associate’s or Diploma in Nursing required; Bachelor’s preferred
• Licensure/Certifications:
• Active RN license (single‑state or compact)
• BLS
• Experience: Minimum 2 years of direct patient care nursing experience
• Skills:
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in fast‑paced environments and respond effectively to emergencies
• Excellent time management and critical thinking abilities
• Basic computer proficiency
