Salinas Valley Post Acute is seeking a reliable and motivated Dietary Cook to join our dietary services team.

This role is essential in providing nutritious, high-quality meals that support the health and well-being of our residents.

Schedule


* 4 days on / 2 days off


* AM and PM shifts available

Compensation


* $21.00 per hour


* Full benefits package available

Key Responsibilities


* Prepare and cook meals according to established menus, recipes, and dietary guidelines


* Ensure meals meet residents' dietary needs and physician-ordered restrictions


* Maintain food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standards at all times


* Properly store food and supplies in compliance with health regulations


* Work collaboratively with dietary aides, supervisors, and nursing staff


* Assist with special events or modified meal plans as needed

Qualifications


* Prior experience as a cook in a healthcare, long-term care, or institutional setting preferred


* Knowledge of therapeutic diets and food safety standards


* Ability to work independently and as part of a team


* Must be dependable, organized, and detail-oriented


* Food Handler's Certification (or ability to obtain)
