Position Summary

The Express Technician (Lube Technician / Entry-Level Automotive Technician) is responsible for performing routine vehicle maintenance services quickly and accurately while delivering a high-quality guest experience.

This is an excellent entry point into the automotive industry for candidates looking to grow into Certified Technician or Master Technician roles.

The position requires attention to detail, efficiency, and adherence to dealership and manufacturer standards.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities



* Perform routine maintenance services including:
+ Oil changes
+ Tire rotations
+ Battery testing and replacement
+ Multi-point inspections
+ Fluid checks and top-offs


* Conduct digital or written vehicle inspections and communicate findings to service advisors


* Maintain consistent productivity in a fast-paced service lane environment


* Follow all Hyundai manufacturer guidelines and dealership processes


* Ensure all work is completed accurately and efficiently the first time


* Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area


* Properly document all work performed in the dealership management system (DMS)


* Support team workflow and assist other technicians as needed


* Deliver a world-class experience to every guest through quality and speed of service


* Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)


* Hours per Repair Order (RO)


* Express lane cycle time


* Multi-point inspection completion rate (100%)


* Upsell identification contribution


* Comeback rate (minimized / near zero)


* Attendance and reliability

Qualifications



* High school diploma or GED required


* Prior automotive experience preferred but not required


* Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record


* Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment


* Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn


* Basic mechanical aptitude
