Job Summary

Establish professional development and compliance curricula.

Coordinate and deliver comprehensive training programs for County employees.

Conduct new employee orientation and managerial, supervisory, and employment interview training to improve job skills and develop career growth of County employees.

Collaborate and strategize with department heads or their designees to plan and forecast departmental training needs.

Assist with the coordination of workshops, seminars, and programs to educate employees regarding County policies, regulations, and processes.

Deliver a variety of training programs at multiple locations throughout the County.

Assist with management and implementation of the performance management programs.Minimum Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's Degree or higher and

• Two (2) years of employee education, training, professional development, or directly related experience or

• An equivalent combination of education and/or experience is required.

*Degrees awarded outside of the United States with the exception of those awarded in one of the United States territories and Canada, must be credentialed by the World Education Services (WES), Educational Credential Evaluators (ECE) or a National Association of Credential Evaluation (NACES) member organization.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Knowledge of adult learning theories, including the Kirkpatrick model.

• Skill in computer and multimedia tools, including the Microsoft Office Suite, multimedia videos, and LMS or CMS software.

• Skill in written and verbal communication, including group public speaking and interpersonal and team communications.

• Ability to create curricula and use multiple instructional strategies to teach to various learning styles.

• Ability to travel a moderate to extensive amount for work assignments throughout the County.

• Ability to provide moderate-level insight, advice and expertise to other professionals, management, and external contacts in an assigned functional area.

• Ability to operate as a team player and communicate specialized knowledge to team members, managers, and external stakeholders.

• Knowledge of moderately complex principles and practices for a specialized area of focus.
