Director, Customer Account Management
Your Job
The Director, Account Management will lead account strategy and execution to cultivate, grow, and retain accounts and businesses.
This role is responsible for creating long-term strategic relationships, driving revenue, margin, and volume expansion with customers.
KBX is focused on delivering exceptional logistics and business solutions to external customers by leveraging and applying principle based management logic.
Our Team
The commercial account management team will work to mine current customers for additional growth opportunities resulting in mutually beneficial wins for customers and KBX Logistics.
Success will also include leveraging comparatively advantaged resources across KBX and then entire Koch enterprise to create value.
What You Will Do
* Develop and execute long-term strategic account plans that identify expansion opportunities, risks, and value-creation initiatives across assigned external accounts.
* Act as the primary relationship owner for strategic customer relationships, ensuring value delivery and alignment across KBX and customer leadership.
* Drive new revenue, upsell/cross-sell, and margin improvement within existing external accounts.
* Own account-level P&L targets, forecasting, pricing strategy, contract negotiations, and commercial terms in partnership with Sales, Legal, and Finance.
* Partner with operations and service delivery to ensure consistent, high-quality performance and customer satisfaction (NPS, SLAs, KPIs).
* Lead renewal and retention strategies; proactively address performance issues and identify corrective actions.
* Work cross functionally with groups such as: Sales, Operations, Technology, Legal, and Finance to design integrated solutions for customers and remove barriers to growth.
* Translate customer needs into product and/or service improvements and new offerings.
* Maintain deep knowledge of logistics, transportation, and supply chain trends affecting customers; advise customers and KBX leadership on market-driven opportunities.
* Represent KBX externally at executive customer meetings, industry forums, and strategic negotiations.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
* Experience in account management, commercial leadership, or business development
* Experience working in the Managed Freight or 3PL or transportation or supply chain industry
* Experience designing complex freight solutions for customers
* Experience partnering with sales/business development teams to cultivate relationships with existing customers
What Will Put You Ahead
* Experience working with enterprise customers in sectors such as manufacturing, energy, retail, or chemical
* Leadership experience building and scaling teams
* Experience negotiating contracts and closing multi-year commercial agreements
