Principal Site Reliability Engineer

We are looking for a new member to join our highly skilled team.

Together we write software for the collection, analysis, and presentation of terabytes of data from tens of thousands of buildings around the world.

Our team develops, operates and monitors a system where Kubernetes is used to maintain a large fleet of pods running Schneider Electric proprietary software, hosted in Microsoft Azure environment.

The team also supports the Support organization by providing monitoring dashboards and actionable alerts, ensuring incidents are always discovered internally first.

We are a team leaning heavily on automation, CI/CD and rely heavily on Infrastructure as Code.

Required skills


* Write simple, understandable code


* Deep knowledge Kubernetes and the extended toolbox (Cert-Manager, Loki, Mimir, Prometheus, Grafana, Open Telemetry, Istio, Kyverno, Helm & Kustomize)


* Deep knowledge of either Rust or Golang programming language


* Deep knowledge of Infrastructure-As-Code and Terraform


* 5+ years of experience working with monitoring and alerting, familiarity with operating software under strict SLA


* Deep knowledge of the Microsoft Azure Cloud platform (5+ years of experience)


* Desire and ability to regularly learn new technologies and their ecosystems


* Excellent English knowledge: Clearly communicate tech and code decisions both in writing and verbally

Bonus qualifications


* Experience with Building Management Systems (BMS)


* Experience working with an automated test suite using Playwright Typescript


* Experience in working within a distributed team with team members and stakeholders in different locations and time zones

Other requirements


* A Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or a related field


* Strong written and verbal communication skills


* Strong analytic and problem-solving skills



* Understanding of Agile development


* Ability and ambition to work on-site in Bangalore office 3x/week


* A strong desire to always learn and improve
