Inventory Coordinator
JOB DUTIES
* Maintain accurate inventory records/counts.
* Troubleshoot inventory issues and forensically investigate inventory/shipping/receiving history for discrepancies
* Perform daily cycle counts in conjunction with the production clerk.
* Perform daily inventory management procedures and duties, including but not limited to stowing materials, setting up bin locations, coordinating work/rework of stock inventory between scheduling and shipping and coordinating the Kanban system with purchasing.
* Ensure accurate accounting and disposition of all defective or damaged products.
* Perform routine clerical assignments including filing and maintaining records.
* Assist in pulling inventory for production.
* Locate engineer drawings on shared drive and interpret as required.
* Use manlift and forklift as needed.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
* High school diploma or equivalent required.
* One year of warehousing and inventory experience is preferred.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
* Ability to locate engineer drawings on shared drive and interpret as required.
* Ability to use Microsoft Excel and Word.
* Ability to certify as forklift operator.
* Knowledge of valve parts and accessories preferred.
* Familiarity with the IFS system or another inventory system preferred.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
* Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing with co-workers and management.
* Must have the ability to read, analyze, and interpret general cycle count reports.
* Must be able to communicate via email and phone with support groups and management.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Must have the ability to apply simple math calculations, including the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
COMPUTER SKILLS
* Ability to operate spreadsheet software applications.
* Must be proficient in using Microsoft Office applications.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
* Must be able to work specified shift.
* Ability to follow work procedures and safety rules.
* Ability to read, understand, and follow directions/instructions
* Ability to operate various office equipment as needed.
* Must have proven problem-solving ability.
Must have the ability to define problems and collect data.
* Ability to lift 40 lbs.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
The noise level in the work environment is moderate (office) to loud (production area).
The employee may be exposed to fumes from chemicals and soldering glues in the manufacturing areas.
